Farmington Animal Hospital is a family owned (non-corporate) veterinary hospital founded in 1947 serving the Farmington Valley and West Hartford
communities including Avon, Simsbury, Newington, New Britain, Southington, and Bristol.

Our aim is to fulfill the Fear Free motto of “taking the pet out of petrified” and putting “the treat into treatment.”

Fear Free is all about the human–animal bond. It’s our goal to help you develop a powerful, life–long, mutually beneficial relationship with your dog or cat; one that for all parties is as free as possible of the fear, anxiety and stress that can take a toll on even the most devoted of relationships.
Fear Free is dedicated to creating a world where every pet experiences Fear Free at every stage in his life –from shelters and breeders, to homes, veterinary visits, trainers, groomers, pet sitter, dog park, transportation, enrichment and more.
