One of our patients was recently diagnosed with not only Lyme disease but Heartworm disease as well. These diseases can happen anytime and in any area of the country. That is why proper flea, tick and heartworm prevention is always necessary all year round. Many of our patients are still exposed to these diseases even though they are on monthly preventative simply because a dose is missed or is discontinued during the colder months
